Stoned Out Of My Mind | 05-15-14

hey folks, sorry bout there being no update last week, i was at home sick and didn't make it to the station to do the show... sorry! anyway, on the new edition of SOOMM we serve up a heaping dose of some of the finest in experimental/avant stuff goin' on these days. highlights include the two new releases on Wormwood Grasshopper, new Wonderfuls single on No Magic Man, some samples of the latest Alberts Basement tapes, plus a big chunk of the second half of the killer Good Area LP from last year!! i give a warning bout not being too sure how this show was gonna turn out since i didn't put as much time into planning it out as i normally do (anyone have any advice on dealing with a stubborn DUal 521?) but it turned out cool in the end so i hope ya like it

Stoned Out Of My Mind | 05-01-14

Hey there internet music fans, on this week's edition of SOOMM we kick things into full gear with a ton of brand new releases featuring some of the best shit i've heard thus far in the year 2014 (and lotsa previous years too at that). We start thing off with a handful of tracks from fuckin' Watery Love off their two smokin' releases out just this week on In The Red. I'm calling it now: "Decorative Feeding" top album of 2014, prove me wrong other bands but I doubt you can..... following that we get into the 4-guitar riffmongering of Eastlink, with their debut LP (also courtesy of ITR). Good Throb's "Fuck Off" LP absolutely kills it, can't get enough of that, and we got Brain F≠, Lumpy & The Dumpers, Ruined Fortune, and some Jim Shepard related stuff also on deck, among many more. hope ya dig the show!!

Stoned Out Of My Mind | 04-17-14

hey folks, sooooo it took an extra week to get this up but hopefully it's worth the wait! ya see, i went into the station a week prior, like i planned, and both turntable were fucked and i wasn't prepared to deal with that. got one of em workin for this week and managed to (mostly) get through this set without a problem (big embarassing fuckup in the middle is totally gettin' cut from the final version of the 'cast though..) hopefully by next week everything's fixed so i can finally do my big "catching up wit hardcore punk" show that i've been planning forever, but we'll see.... anyway, on this one we kick things off with a huge chunk of Sacred Product cuz ya know the S.Rockers were a big time favorite of mine, then we get down to some Shoes This High, Jimmy Smack, ++ more....! thanks for listenin' to SOOMM
